The Angelic

57 Liverpool Rd, Islington, N1 0RJ

  • About this pub

Opened as George IV in 1824, The Angelic was renamed after the film The Angelic Conversation, directed by Derek Jarman, who lived opposite the pub during the 1960s.

Situated in the heart of Islington, The Angelic pub boasts huge windows and high ceilings, especially the ‘Sistine Chapel’ on the first floor, forming a beautiful backdrop for friendly staff serving seasonal British food, a wide choice of cask and craft beers and an extensive gin selection.

From a quick lunch or snacks with a drink after work, to a sit down dinner or a corporate party with canapés and Prosecco – we can cater for you.

Why not have a look at our menus. Enjoy drinks al fresco out front, or settle back and relax in our pub, whatever the weather. A warm welcome awaits. See you soon.
