Ashes City Guide: Lord’s, London

The Second Test of 2023’s Ashes series take us all to Lord’s. The Home of Cricket is in London, which obviously gives a huge sweep of pubs and bars to choose from.

We Love Sport pubs and bars are the best though. With that, we’ve created a guide for you to follow to enjoy the test to the fullest.

Barmy Army HQ - Clubhouse 5

Clubhouse 5 is the newest (and best) sports bar in London. Situated just off of Leicester Square, the bar has a heap of screens, craft beers and even cocktails on tap if you’re feeling the summer vibe. They also have some great food to pick from too like wings and burgers. Make sure you head to Clubhouse 5 every night after the action for the after party!

The Ultimate Ashes Party and Barmies is in Clubhouse 5 on the 30th of June too! Grab your ticket sto the event by clicking here to buy!

Closest to the Station - Sports Bar and Grill, Marylebone

With London, there’s loads of stations! But, Lord’s is closest to Paddington and Marylebone. Sports Bar and Grill in Marylebone is the place to be. SBG does breakfast, so it’s an ideal stop off for some breakfast and pints before the start of the day. Big, spacious and two floors. Get there for when you get off of the train and get yourself a few pints.

Family and Food - The Old Bell

Near the ground, we have The Old Bell. Breakfast, an all day menu & a kids menu means its the ideal spot to head to before heading to Lord’s.

Head in if you’re wanting some more casual vibes, rather than a complete party atmosphere.

Closest to the Ground - The Priory Tavern

The Priory Tavern is not too far from Lord’s and it is a pub with a plethora of drinks to choose from. We recommend The Priory Tavern for those travelling in groups clucking for a few pints!
