The FA Cup has been something that hasn't had as much respect as it deserves over the last couple of years. That changes this year. In fact, it's one of the biggest games of the season. Manchester City are chasing a treble with the Premier League wrapped up, and above all, a Champions League Final against Inter Milan coming up. Manchester United will be aiming to protect the legacy of the '99 treble winning team by stopping City in their tracks in the FA Cup Final. On June 3rd at 3pm, Wembley plays host. If you can't make it there, be sure to be in a We Love Sport pub and bar for the biggest FA Cup Final in years.City heading for the history books
When Manchester United defeated Bayern Munich way back in 1999, nobody thought an English club would win the treble again. In reality, the team who went closest probably was in fact Manchester United in 2008, where they won the league and Champions League but lost in the FA Cup semi-final. Pep Guardiola's side have been brilliant for years and have broken so many records. This year, they're aiming to tie United's brilliant treble. City spent the season chasing Arsenal, but their brilliance has led to them winning the league at a canter. They've knocked out both Bayern Munich & Real Madrid this season with relative ease, leading to a Champions League Final against Inter Milan. City have swept aside every team in the FA Cup leading to this game. The side is riddled with talent with about 14 of the genuine best players on the planet in their squad. Of course, they may just end up with the league title, but a treble win ties them with United. Also arguably makes them England's best ever side.
United have progressed - no matter how this goes
Manchester United have been average for the last 10 years. Erik Ten Hag has done a fantastic job this season. One trophy, a top four finish and another final is something that no United fan would have truly expected. A lot of drama around Cristiano Ronaldo and there has been some serious injury problems to deal with, but they haven't stopped United in their tracks too much. This final against City is certainly a tough prospect, but United have won against City this year. They did get a hiding at the Etihad though. The way United are able to capitulate is an issue that will obviously need to be avoided on the big stage.Find Your Local Showing City v United
